Distribute Aid Team
We’re a small, diverse, and international team. Our team members are highly-skilled volunteers and experienced community organisers serving their local communities. They actively choose to spend several hours a week putting their skillset to good use to help Distribute Aid to deliver more aid for less money and create impact far greater than our organisation’s size would imply.

NICOLE TINGLE
After completing her masters degree in Conflict, Development, and Security, from the University of Leeds, Nicole spent five years working abroad with a range of non-profits, focused largely on refugees and displaced populations.
Through this experience she honed her operations and project management skills, allowing her to support Distribute Aid through a period of strong growth. Through varying leadership roles, she helped to produce policy and process, grow the team, and set Distribute Aid up for success. She has since moved to a board position upon relocating back to the UK. She is now the Head of Strategic Operations at Infiniti Recycling, an environmental start-up focused on recycling ion-lithium batteries.

AVALON RAWLING
Avalon has wanted to work in humanitarian logistics since studying Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Leeds in the late 1990s. She first got involved with Distribute Aid during the pandemic, then joined as Director in 2024, finally living out that ambition in full.
Over a decade in corporate logistics and data roles gave her skills in scalability, decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving, which she now applies to building the systems that let people rebuild their lives with autonomy and dignity. She brought the logistics discipline Distribute Aid needed to scale up, opening doors to valuable in-kind support from across the logistics industry. She also co-runs HUDUS, a consultancy for small non-profits
